The machining of a seal

DMH is engaged in machining of elastomeres for many years. This long time experience in machining of seals has lead to progress in technology and quality. We are constantly working to improve the machined seal inspired by our own seal department as well as the needs and the challenges of our customers.
The machined seal has many advantages in comparison to the injection moulded seal. Owing to the waved surface, especially oil has better adhesion properties. This is leading to less wear of friction, the seal is virtually „lubricated“ by nature, the seal runs so smoothly so that you can look forward to a long durability.

The surface of a sealing edge

Sometimes you will need seals of absolute leak-tightness. Of course you always have the possibility to cut the sealing edge as the following illustration is showing.
